SWOS membership is available to all career grade ophthalmologists working in the South West of England and South Wales. Ophthalmologists in training grades are eligable for Associate Membership.

The next meeting for prizes to be awarded is the SWOS meeting in Bristol 15th November 2019. Please submit entries by Monday 4th November to Prof Andy McNaught, c/o andy.mcnaught@btopenworld.com.
Prizes are awarded in three categories following judging on the day of the meeting, they are currently as follows:
The following material will be accepted in each of the three prize categories.
*From 2012, the Society decided to sponsor a meritorious research prize to be awarded for the best research submitted to the Society in the year of the award for the purpose of attending the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) annual meeting the following year to present the research. The award is contingent upon the research being accepted for presentation by ARVO.
