SWOS membership is available to all career grade ophthalmologists working in the South West of England and South Wales. Ophthalmologists in training grades are eligable for Associate Membership.

SWOS 2023 Meetings

Our SWOS meeting will be on the 17th November 2023 at Sandy Park, Exeter. This will be a great opportunity to meet up with colleagues from around the region.

The morning session will feature presentations from trainees in the region, with opportunity to win prizes including ARVO presentation prize, best publication and three presentation prizes.

The afternoon session will feature a range of topics relevant to clinicians and the keynote Richardson Cross Medal Lecture.

Sandy Park is the home of the Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club and provides high quality modern facilities for our meeting. Sandy Park is easily accessible from M5 Junction 30 with extensive (pay on the day) parking.

New colleagues can join SWOS by completing the membership form on the SWOS website and by setting up a yearly standing order (£20)

Membership helps to support SWOS in providing our annual meeting for all grades of Ophthalmologist from South Wales and the South West of England, and providing an opportunity for our trainees to meet and present their research.
