SWOS membership is available to all career grade ophthalmologists working in the South West of England and South Wales. Ophthalmologists in training grades are eligable for Associate Membership.

Extra Exeter Meeting The Great Hall, Exeter University, 8:30am to 5:30pm 4th October 2019

The West of England Eye Unit is planning an annual regional meeting in Exeter on 4th of October 2019 which is just sixteen weeks away. I am inviting you to please register your interest to enable us to make catering and other arrangements by emailing Miranda Pihama (miranda.pihama@nhs.net).

The conference theme has already generated very good interest in the region and we are awaiting CPD points by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

We are very pleased that Prof Eyal Banin, Jerusalem, Israel; Prof Andrew Crosby, University of Exeter; Baroness Susan Greenfield, University of Oxford; Ms Rumana Hussain, University of Liverpool; Mr Omar Mahroo, Moorfields Eye Hospital; Prof Stephan Michels, Zurich, Switzerland; Prof Tunde Peto, Queen’s University Belfast, have agreed to be speakers. All the speakers are very well known in their fields internationally.
